2/6/17- After six hours, police remove protestors, forming a human barricade outside UNHCR in Jakarta, Republic of Indonesia - They are stopped peacefully, but firmly. A practice America will hopefully soon emulate with the election of Donald Trump.

There is a difference between protesters and rioters.....

Protesters are loud, obnoxious at times but peaceful....

Rioters intentionally destroy things and hurt people...

Rioters deserve at a minimum arrest, but their head cracked by a nightstick is appropriate as well....No tolerance!

You start giving those people jail sentences for burning stuff and breaking stuff that will go away. Protests are one thing, rioting is another

Not a chance. The anarchists, commies and BLM types wear jail time as a badge of honor.
What's needed is a good old-fashioned, Chicago style @ss kicking ...

Much less stressful situation when the protestors arent ripping cobbles from the street curbs and throwing bricks at you and setting cars on fire and other peoples hair on fire, and the local Starbucks on fire, and .........

These protestors are never gonna get social justice if thats all they got.

They are not mutually exclusive. Kick A$$, lock em up, and throw away the key.

That won’t happen. I’m not talking about 6 weeks or 6 months in jail, I’m talking 20 years for rioting. Serious time in a serious facility

Singapore has a practice of caning the folks with bad behavior.

My recollection is faint. It seems to me that the U.S. ambassador’s son spray painted graffiti and was caned?

Whatever happened to him in recent years?

It seems hard prison time with actual punishment for being stupid makes their society more behaved in public.

Hmmmmm.

Fascinating!!
