Jamie Baker, now 47, faces 15 years in prison after admitting to killing her husband
A woman has admitted to killing her weightlifter husband by lacing his steroid injections with antifreeze.
Forty-seven-year-old Jamie Baker faces 15 years to life in prison for poisoning her 42-year-old husband James Baker, a competitive weightlifter who died in September 2013. Authorities said an autopsy found ethylene glycol in his system. The chemical is found in antifreeze.

Maybe her problem was that she was frigid. She might have thought it would make her more desirable...
She would have really pissed him off if she put steroids in his antifreeze.
Three rules.
1. Don’t touch my truck.
2. Don’t touch my truck.
3. Don’t touch my truck.
He died of exposure anyway....
If that was the case, she was the one needed the antifreeze, plus some industrial strength hormones.
brutal, premeditated murder through poison only gets you 15?
no motive given.
Seriously. You’d think life in prison. Death penalty. 20, 30, 40 years... but 15?
Is murder that cheap of a crime now?
If she was smart enough to know EG would kill him, she should also know it’s a common killing method that is easily detected.
You’re as cold as ice
and willing to sacrifice our love
You never take advice
But some day you’ll pay the price
and some more stuff

...
Reminds me of that old expression, if I’d killed her when I wanted I’d be out of prison by now. And she probably will only do a fraction of the 15.
Foreigner. Lousy song.
A big reason people don’t get away with crimes like this is that there is something built into most of us that compels us to admit our crimes.
Guilt eats away at a person.
Of course there are psychopaths who shows no signs of guilt or remorse. But even they may sometimes feel the need to confess. Maybe it is the desire to brag.
Interestingly, many people who are capable of murder are incapable of living with themselves after.
Quite an assumption that she will get the minimum. The story/article says she’s facing 15 TO Life.
The man who set fire to the mosque the Orlando jihadist attended, damaging the property and injuring no one, was sentence to 30 years. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3522129/posts
This person puts antifreeze in the man’s injections, and she’s going to get as little 15 years? She better get life.
How does she only get 15 years!?!
Jesus, women get away with murder.
Refocus.
Women always get lighter sentences than men for the same crimes.
This is why she got 15 years.
Total injustice.
That's the dude she killed, right?
Sorry, it wasn’t that big when I previewed it.
