The countrys biggest tech companies filed a legal brief late Sunday in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals opposing President Donald Trumps executive order on immigration also known as the immigration ban. Apple, Google, Facebook, and over 90 other companies have filed this amicus brief.
Ninety-seven companies, from Apple Inc. to Zynga Inc., filed an impassioned legal brief condemning President Donald Trumps executive order on immigration, stepping up the industrys growing opposition to the policy, Bloomberg reported on Monday. Last week, reports had indicated that the industry was considering to send a joint letter to the President opposing his immigration ban. In this letter leaked last week the industry had emphasized the importance of immigrants in the economy.
Bloomberg added that while the companies had originally planned to file the brief later this week, they accelerated efforts over the weekend after other legal challenges to the order.
President Trump had issued an executive order on January 27, imposing a 90-day ban affecting travelers from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen and a 120-day ban on all refugees. On Friday, a federal judge put a temporary nationwide block on the order after other legal challenges.
They would rather hire immigrants over Americans?
Not such a good idea.
Boycott all buying from their advertisers and tell those advertisers why.
Turn them from appearing as "champions of the underdog" to "conniving cheap labor criminals," which is what they are.
Looks like Obama’s phone still works
At least DJT has forced these basturds to show their true colors — and they sure ain’t red white and blue! Mostly just red, period As they wanna keep importing labor from communist china ( and India) instead of hiring Americans.
Silicon Valley Reacts to President Trumps Immigration Orders
All so crazy, this push to destroy America and Western civilization. Imagine they are favoring foreign workers, Islamization, and they don’t care about the security of the United States. EXACTLY what a lot of Muslims leads to.
Impassioned? Sounds like emotional argumentation from emotional thinkers/feelers.
Wait a second are Starbucks and Amazon on the list ,LOL
I canceled netflix today, no one else on there that list that I do business with.
As the good Judge in Boston wrote:
Plaintiffs are not, however, refugees seeking admission to the United States and consequently, any future implementation of Section 5 (b) would not personally affect them,
I agree, Dept. of Labor and ICE needs to demand an audit of ALL their H1Bs and non-citizen employees to make sure these companies are following the law. Any of the ones with government contracts should get OFCCP desk audits as well. We’ll see if they still complain after that.
Outing themselves as advocates of lower wages and importing workers over domestic hires. Don’t these companies have good general counsel and communication professionals?
fyi
The decision to prevent aliens from entering the country is a fundamental sovereign attribute realized through the legislative and executive branches that is largely immune from judicial control, the judge wrote (citations omitted).
In other words, the President has the right to make immigration decisions, without interference from the courts.
Trump needs to declare a National Emergency and do it. Proof is 9/11. Ban them all.
BUT SERIOUSLY YOU GOT TO START ARRESTING THE BIGGIES. MAYORS GOVERNORS CEOs.
THE COURT UNDER OBAMA RULED THAT THE BORDER IS UNDER THE SOLE CONTROL OF THE FEDERAL GOV.
DO IT.

.........
GREAT IDEA
There are 97 companies.
You ever wonder why they have so much money?
