60,000 Visas Revoked Not 100,000 Says State Department Since Immigration Ban

" Once again, Fake News spread in the media that "over 100,000 visas have been revoked", in the wake of the Trump administrations recent halt on immigration, a lawyer for the Justice Department revealed in court Friday. However, the State Department says fewer than 60,000 foreigners from seven majority-Muslim countries had their visas provisionally canceled after President Donald Trump's executive order blocked them from traveling to the U.S. The State Department clarified that the higher figure includes diplomatic and other visas that were actually exempted by the travel ban, as well as expired visas. Trump's order bans travel for people from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Libya and Yemen.

Erez Reuveni of the Office of Immigration Litigation at the Civil Division of the Justice Department also said no returning legal permanent residents have been denied entry, and it is not clear whether the 100,000 number includes refugees, which are the smallest category of people affected. "

60,000 is probably the right number, someone just screwed-up and added on the BS fudge factor that was required under Obama.

Most of these visas are temporary used for tourists, students, and businessmen. Permanent immigrant visas are a much lower number. It also included expired visas.

This is a mountain out of a molehill.

Hopefully the number grows much more to mainly let in legal immigrants

Are you serious?

60,000 is a good start.

Now, revoke VISAs for all overstays and their family.

Too bad. Right now there are about 150,000,000 worthless and lazy organic users of our working tax dollars.

We have had way too may morons spending our money on the lazy and shiftless for far too long. Uncle Sugar is a sucker for the useless.

Why not unfake the news and really revoke 100,000 visas?

No muzzies, no mayhem.

So does this mean that only 60,000 mothers died because PRESIDENT Trump wouldn’t let them come to the U.S.?

Let us put this in perspective. The US issues 11 million visas annually so whether the number is 60,000 or 100,000
it is still less than 1 percent of all the visas issued.

According to the story, expired visas were indeed kept out, but it’s still unclear -—apparently people were trying to re-enter the US with expired visas-? Why would they even think they could try to do that?
And the left is screaming unfair-—?

“the State Department says fewer than 60,000 foreigners from seven majority-Muslim countries had their visas provisionally canceled”

We need some more zeros added to the end of that figure.
