I doubt it. These are the same people who can’t get a five day forcast correct.

South of the border, however, an American groundhog issued a different forecast. The handlers of Pennsylvania's most famous groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, said the furry rodent "predicted" six more weeks of winter after seeing his shadow. Members of Phil's top hat-wearing inner circle revealed their "forecast" at sunrise Thursday. In reality, Phil's prediction is decided ahead of time by the group on Gobbler's Knob, a tiny hill just outside Punxsutawney, Pa.

Gobbler's Knob is an interesting name for a place.

LOL! My husband grew up in the ‘wilds’ of PA, and this is one of his favorite movies; we watch it every Groundhog Day. I told him tonight that the town scenes weren’t actually filmed in Punxsutawney.

Every time we watch it, he has to tell me stuff about Pennsylvania:

There are four seasons, like everywhere else; in PA, they are ‘almost Winter’, ‘Winter’; ‘still Winter’; and ‘Road Construction’. And I guess everyone has heard that PA is Philadelphia in the East, Pittsburgh in the West, and ‘Pennsyltucky’ in between - which I think Carville derogatively changed to ‘Alabama-in-the-middle’ during some campaign that he was working on :-)

(Husband always tells me that PA has more road surface per square mile than any other state, but I can’t find any backup for that position...)

Pennsylvania is a beautiful state; I hope to end my life in a rural area there. This flat-land, ocean-loving lady has grown to like mountains :-)
