I was a security guard on the gate at a large resort condominium on a Gulf Coast beach from 2005 to 2013. Every year the Spring Break crowd and the younger summer visitors appeared to be stupider than the year before and their vision closer and closer to the immediate moment. By 2010 I had decided that the country was not going to come back from from the 07 crash and Obama because these continually stupider and more self centered youths are the future Politicians and captains of industry, the leaders of our society. Our Public Education system has made recovery highly unlikely. Trump is a hiatus but I cannot believe he is more than a hiatus. There are not enough liberty oriented or even smart people and certainly hardly any actually educated people in the cohort that will rule after Trump. It is not that the non-white minorities will outnumber and swamp the American culture and nation, it is that only a tiny portion of the class whose children once had real educations, were taught to reason and read and write and figure remains, and they are almost entirely the home schoolers. There are not enough of them.
