Mayor Martin J. Walsh said he would open City Hall as a sanctuary and "safe space" to illegal immigrants -- promising to house them in his office -- in the wake of President Trump's executive order to halt federal funding for "sanctuary cities," and said Boston would not accept federal money if it was tied to toeing Trump's line on immigration.
"If people want to live here they'll live here, they can use my office, they can use any office in this building," Walsh said of his promise today to illegal immigrants who are "targeted unjustly," adding "any place they want to use, they can use this building as a safe space."

He's got it backwards. Probably 100% of federal funds will be withheld from Boston until he smartens up and enforces the law.
All the officials, elected by Democrats, are showing the American public, that like Obama, they care nothing about the laws of this country. I sure hope every Republican running in 2018 uses these sound bites in their political ads. Show your constituents that the Dems have no interest in enforcing the LAW. Granted some places are so heavily Dem that the Dem will win anyway. But lots of places there will be a rise in conscience and the Republicans may be able to flip even more House and Senate seats in 2018.
