My long-standing belief is that no prison sentence should last more than 5 years. If you think the crime is so severe that 5 years would be insufficient, then an execution is warranted.

I’m OK with fines and corporal punishment, short sentences, and executions. Long term warehousing of human detritus? I just don’t see the purpose of it.
