Donald Trump's inauguration just got a lot more lit -- Michael Flatley's been booked for the dance floor ... TMZ has learned.

The "Lord of the Dance" creator and his Irish dance troupe are the latest act to be added to Friday night's Liberty Ball lineup ... according to our Inaugural Committee sources. We're told they've been wanting to book him for a while, and finally confirmed on Wednesday.

Flatley's crew joins entertainers such as Sam Moore at the balls.

Of course, The Rockettes will also be there. Not that it's a competition.

Some morning guy on talk radio said he heard that Tony Orlando of Dawn was going to be there performing. I hope he was just joking. I haven’t heard anyone else make that claim.
That act is so very out of date. If it’s true, Oh well. At least he’s willing to do it and not chicken out - I guess.

I love “Lord of the Dance”, and its use of Aaron Copeland’s piece from Appalachain Spring.

Weird Al’s “Horoscope Song”

“Saggitarius” “Don’t you know you are the Lord of the Dance, no matter what those idiots at work say?”

Surprised Flatley is still the Lord of the dance. He’s almost 60.

I love Lord of the Dance and Riverdance. The song Lord of the Dance is a religious song that once you start singing it gives you an earworm.

Perhaps Trump didn’t want Kid Rock singing about “smokin’ funny things.” But Kid Rock makes up for it a few lines later by crooning “singin’ ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ all summer long.” It’s Kid Rock’s greatest song!

Tony was on Fox this afternoon. He will be performing for the inauguration, just in case you missed his interview.
