After my wife died, I became active in online dating, including eharmony. I met a number of women. I have met someone I’m seriously interested in.
But, I did my own “screening” when meeting women. I decided against pursuing anything with a few I met because it was clear to me that they were liberal.
There are other “deal breakers” too; political views are certainly not at the top of the list or the only criterion for me.
But all of you, if you are honest about this, both men and women out there, you will admit that you have rejected someone due to some criteria which were important to you. To me,shared values are important. And that includes some general shared worldviews and outlook on social/political issues, on religion, etc.
Mostly, I was sad that she basically admitted that Conservatives were nicer people, yet she is still Liberal. But she is a tenured Professor so maybe she simply cannot behave differently.
