IT DOESN’T MATTER.
There’s this game called football.
THE RULES of this game called football stipulate that you win by scoring points.
THE RULES further stipulate that you score points by advancing the football until it crosses the goal line or you kick it through the goal posts.
Advancing the ball forward necessarily means gaining yards, but yards gained is not the measure of victory. The winning strategery is to score as many points as possible from the fewest yards gained. The objective IS NOT to gain yards, the objective is to score points. The gaining of yards is merely incidental to that process.
If a team gains more yards than its opponent but the opponent scores more points, THE RULES stipulate that the opponent wins. The losing team has NO CLAIM to victory, regardless how overwhelming their yards gained advantage might have been, and claims to the contrary have no legitimacy.
It makes no difference whatsoever how many yards Team Hitlery might have gained, because Team Trump scored more points. You can’t ask that THE RULES be changed once the contest has ended simply because you’ve lost (although that’s precisely what the Demoncrats tried to do in Florida in the Y2K POTUS election).
THE RULES stipulate that Team Trump won, done and dusted. Trump has the job, nothing’s going to change that. The Donald doesn’t give a rat’s patootie whether anyone considers his victory legitimate, and I rather doubt anyone’s opinion will slow the rate at which he continues to score points.
So stop fretting over the popular vote. Instead, redirect your efforts somewhere productive.
