Well if they need her to show up in 9 that means she doesn’t die in 8 unless she returns as a ghost like Obiwan in Empire and Jedi. That’s it! The movie is ruined for me. :)
They will at least need her likeness to appear as a force ghost- Obiwan, Yoda, Vader and now Leia.
