An armed robber was killed on camera as he tried to hold up a gun store by its 64-year-old owner.

Surveillance footage at Dixie Gun and Pawn in Mableton, Georgia, showed the moment the would-be criminal and an accomplice stormed into the store dressed in ski masks.

They aimed their guns towards an employee who held his hands up in a plea for mercy before store owner Jimmy Groover opened fire.

The 64-year-old grandfather reached for his own gun and shot one of the robbers dead while the other ran for his life.

Why would anyone think robbing a gun store is a good idea?

Nicely done by the shop owner and the employee.
It looks like he gave his boss a 2-second heads-up warning.

Kept guns drawn as they checked area for safety.
They undoubtedly summoned an ambulance for the robber as well.

Two fewer liberal Democrat Obama supporting voters. It looked like they had an excess of melanin.

I enjoyed it the first couple of times also. But I really do not enjoy reposting my clever snarky remarks. Just not as much fun as the first or even the second time.

Dropped #1 like a bad habit. Fast thinking, great reactions and having a close gun at hand saved their lives.

Btw, making the decision to draw on someone who’s already drawn and is pointing it right at you is very gutsy move regardless of what anyone says.

Then maybe you should consider a different hobby.

I wouldn’t mind the reposts, y’know, if somebody would update the danged story. What happened to perp #2? Where’d the dead guy get hit? Musta been a heck of a heavy grain slug. Maybe to the heart? Timber. Just timber.

I’m with on the dupe posts, btw.

No worries. Unlike some people, I'm of the mind that good stories like these bear repeating...
