Indeed, an excellent summation ... and I'm a die-hard Crimson fan for decades. Perhaps Sarks was being too conservative with a lead, bringing too many 3 and outs, but Clemson's defense still had to stop the plays.

It was another great game and deShaun is an exceptional GB. I was adding it up last night: how many points did Bama get in the 2016 game and haw many did Clemson get, then add the number of points for the 2017 game to each and what do we see? Two teams evenly matched, so coaching had to be the flaw. Sarks will have Bama generating much more offense in 2017, and if they get to the semis, look for lots of scoring.

I have to add that the officiating left a lot to be desired ... receivers pushing off on the smaller Bama coverage was one thing that stood out as not called, while the PI the next to last play of the game was, well, meticulous?

Pretty evenly-matched teams for sure. Kiffin had a poorly-called game on his last, so not sure he would have been any better. Seems he became too distracted with his new job.

I was pulling for Bama, but may be a good thing they don’t win year after year. That would get just too boring. Clemson flat-out had a great team too, so are deserving of the win.

the problem with that call is that it didn’t in fact occur in the end zone as the refs said; this placed the ball at the two, when it should have been somewhere around the seven...

a pick play is more problematic if the defenders have more room in the end zone to move around...
