The conversation was caught on video
A pizza shop worker rang a gran to call her an ugly ***** after she left a one-star review on Facebook .
The staff member, who has not been named, telephoned the grandmother at home to rant at her after she posted the review.
Her family videoed the conversation in which the pizza worker is heard ranting: You ****ing ugly *****. Im here 24-7.
Its easy to talk on ****ing Facebook, next time you want to say something come down here and ****ing say it, ok?
The manager of the shop, The Square Pizza Company in Newport, said the staff member who made the call had since been sacked.
Elizabeth Gallear, 63, had asked her grandson James to write the review after she was left waiting two hours for pizzas for her family in Newport.
But minutes after the one-star rating was left online, she received the phone call.
During the call, Elizabeth, of Pill, Newport, can be heard saying: You are absolutely disgusting for a pizza shop. Disgusting.
And after receiving a torrent of abuse, she says: Oh go and shove your head in the pizza oven.
Why dont you call back when you can talk tidy?
Speaking later grandmother of 26, Elizabeth, said: I was so angry that he was talking to me like that. I couldnt believe the things he was calling me.
My hands were shaking I was so upset and angry. I was in a state of shock.
I couldnt believe anyone would talk like that to anyone. That language was totally uncalled for, we had done nothing wrong.
We certainly wont be ordering from there again.
That was the world’s shakiest finger!

He sounds imported. Probably from somewhere not resplendent in English mannerisms. You get what you ask for.
In my opinion, pizza’s not worth waiting 2 minutes for. But I understand people do love them. I haven’t liked pizza since I was a teenager. I always call it ‘baby food’.
Who knew Alex P. Keaton was an English gran?
That’s a shame. I’ve been getting pizza from the same pizza place with several outlets since 1951, always consistent and always courteous staff. If you’re ever visiting the San Francisco peninsula, try the pizza at Toto’s, either in Millbrae, San Mateo or Belmont. They used to have other restaurants in SF and Daly City which I frequented, gone over the last couple decades. Been around since 1932. It’s gourmet pizza made the old Italian way, heavenly to consume. Other pizzas taste like cardboard in comparison.
“Why don’t you call back when you can talk tidy?”
Totally agree with her, unless you completely avoid TV, radio, movies, internet, and social media, it is a!most impossible to avoid foul language. I am tired of it.
Welsh, not English.
British, my apologies.
The Square Pizza Company....
Where the #### is this place?
A pizzeria is supposed to be named Mario’s, Bella Momma’s, Brooklyn’s Finest, Goodfellas, Nina’s, Pal Joey, NINO’s, Luigi’s, Taste of Italy...
WTH man?
Square pizzeria. That sounds worse than the chain restaurants, which, by the way, you couldn’t force me to eat with a gun put to my head.
Buuuuut they deserve to be paid a 15 dollar an hour “Living Wage”!
I’d like to see them try.
As someone with experience, I wouldn’t recommend getting Pizza on the British Isles. Or Mexican. Or pretty much anything besides Indian, or maybe Thai.
Is that where this was? Wow.
WTH are Brits doing making pizza?
“The Square Pizza Company manager Zaman Ahmed”
Uh, I think i see the problem ...
