The biggest lie in Streep’s rant is the pretense that a reporter for the NY Times is somehow powerless, when the whole NY Times business model in the first place is leveraging their power against people (they hope) can’t fight back.
NY Times hasn’t spoken truth to power in a generation - if ever. It is the very archetype of institutional media power.
I wonder if this was a set up involving the disabled “reporter”? Nothing would surprise me with the DNC controlled media.

And just how did the Streep even get a venue to make a speech at all .... wait for it folks ..... she got the infamous “Life time Achievement Award” ... awarded to someone so insignificant who has done so little for so long that they can’t ignore you any longer and reach into the Progressive garbage can and give you the middle finger of awards.
