The illegals get better care than USA citizens. I want Zrro care for members of congress and government employees to help pay for the illegals.
This year, my employer ‘encouraged’ employees (by making the traditional PPO offering cost-prohibative to purchase) to move to their high-deductible health plan, or HDHP. This ‘health’ plan has a $2K plan deductible before ANY charges are paid by the insurance. Just another example of Obamacare and it’s impact on even employer-sponsored insurance.
Standard COBRA, if offered, must be offered for a minimum of 18 months...longer if other stipulations are met. COBRA can only be cancelled for non-payment or ‘short’ payments of premiums.
I know that now. We’ll appeal it but right now he’s just trying to recover from the surgery. First thing to do is for him to call his former employer. We went with the same carrier so the nice lady at COBRA thinks his former employer will have no trouble turning it on again. Of course we pay so they are not out any money.

My company provided plan cost me about $3,500 last year for a single person. I only used part of it for the dentist and still paid 60%
We need heath insurance savings accounts. The money would accumulate. Imagine 4 years you would have $10 grand and if it is invested like a 401k plan you would have more.
You should also be able to cash it in if you want.
