Big dogs are nice until you have to pick up the poop. Our next dog will be another Yorkie. They just think they are big.

My first reaction is ; Worry. I’d be worried about the safety of some of these kids, especially the ones playing with two or more large dogs at once. Dogs in a pack can change demeanor very quickly.
My second reaction is; Relief and Joy. I’m happy these kids are out enjoying life, making independant choices, and not sitting alone in their bedrooms with arched backs, as they stare at their Iphones.

Even little big dogs leave a lot of poop. I have a 4 month old, 33 lb Golden Retriever — not even half grown — and he leaves about 10 lbs of poop a week in the back yard. Thank heavens that most of that is going into the yard now, and not into my kitchen. He’s training me well!

If you look at all of the captions, the dogs have been chosen carefully, vetted by the photographer, and most of them are related to the children in some way (i.e. belong to a parent, or grandparent).

We live on a farm, with lots of space the poop isn’t as big a deal. Our issue is hair. We love our great dane, but the shedding leaves a lot of hair. And the short hair acts like little spikes that embeds itself into carpet, furniture, and clothes. But we did get a new vacuum for Christmas, maybe one of those attachments?...

Those are the most beautiful pics of dogs and children that I have ever seen.

Thank you!

The photographs are fantastic. This is likely the work of a professional photographer. People forget about the quality of image that a trained or quick eye can capture.
This naturally restrained palette would work in black and white or in sepia tones.
There used to be a printer’s technique called
Mezotint or a halftone shade applied overall and with visible texture.
That would work here too, making for a ‘portrait’ effect.

Kind of an annoying site. It kept hanging up on me. But the photographer’s website is great!

Goldens are the best.
I have 2, they are 2 1/2 years old now.
One is 90 pounds the other is 75.
Enjoy puppyhood, it doesn’t last long.

What are you running? I had no problem with it in Win 10 on my laptop.

But, I hear you. I just hate those sites that hang up. Breitbart is one, and I’ll never click on the Blaze. Grrrrr.

The biggest dog in the series is Misha, a St. Bernard who weighs 215 pounds. Misha lets Matthew, who is not quite two yet, caress his face

We have decided that we are too old and live in too cold a climate for a puppy, but we’re determined to stick with it.

House training at this time of year is a challenge! Our last Golden was a rescue and acquired when he was about a year (and already trained). I keep showing Riley Max’s picture and telling him that Max was the perfect dog (except that he got cancer and died). Riley is not impressed!

We tried to adopt another rescue, but we could not find one. I think that there are not so many Goldens available as there once were because people are trending towards the Goldendoodles more. They are nice, but I’ll take a little shedding in exchange for the sunny Golden personality (which my puppy has not developed yet). My puppy is still at the terrorist stage.
