I’m sorry to hear that.

Last I heard he was working at a ‘pit bull’ rescue.

“Why people think dogs or cats need winter wear since they already have fur coats, unless they are outside in below freezing temps long term is beyond me...”

We feed 3 feral cats just to keep them near our home for mouse control. We also give them a fairly warm cat house.

We’ve had -20F temps, and the little rascals are just all over the place, sometimes as far away as a quarter mile. Sometimes gone for a day at a time.

Point is, their natural fur keeps them warm. The little sweaters, little booties and all that is just plain stupid.

I have a sweater for my dog but when I put it on her she walks sideways like a crab.

It takes a very docile, thoroughly domesticated, people-oriented breed of dog to allow let alone enjoy having attire foisted upon them.

I’ve known a Golden who loved her sweater and would beg for it, sometimes refusing to go outside without it. I’ve known a few others that would get very excited when their flame orange vest or life vest came out, they were ready to go.

But, it’s usually a more cutesy thing involving lap dog breeds.

Why would a person put a sweater on a dog named “Scarface” in the first place?...................................... Can’t blame the dog for fighting back. Why would he want a sweater in FLA when he has a fur coat on?

Annual deaths from housecat attacks are zero. Some stitches, an antibiotic shot, maybe a blood transfusion, and you’re good to go.

On the occasions when our cats have needed a bath, we’ve taken them to the vet, where they’re given a tranquilizer shot first.

Our greyhound liked her jacket when it was cold out. They have no warm fur and no body fat.

Static cling can be dangerous in the wrong hands.

`If a bulldog licks you, you don’t have to lick it back’

To celebrate surviving, they all went to a bar, with human ears nailed to the walls, where the men ordered a round of `Brain Seizures’ & the ladies: `Hippo Laxatives’.

The most sociable dog I’ve ever had, a Chocolate Lab who honestly thought he was human, would practically do cartwheels to get out of anything more than a collar. He’d tolerate a bandana, but that’s only because it meant “go.” It came out when we were going somewhere together in the car, which he dearly loved, so he practically dove into it whenever I brought it out. Had it not been for that significance, he’d have found a way out of it.

Jennifer our dog groomer would put a bandana on Ash when she was washed, but she hated it. However, she had her jacket when she came from the rescue agency, and she appreciated it on cold days.

Look at the dog’s picture. His ears have been cut off, a good sign that he’s been used for fighting. I adopted a AST/Black Lab mix when he was about 10 weeks old; his ears have never been mutilated. He’ll be eleven years old in March and has been a wonderful, playful loving friend his whole life. He does give delivery people a problem because he wants to go for rides in their trucks.

Should this not read, "dog defended himself against human trying to stuff him in a sack"?

I would say that would be the dog's perception of the event.

I would have to know a little more about it before I could decide exactly how much at fault the humans were.

And yes, the dog probably should be destroyed as it is not properly socialized but still....

I think I would bite anyone who tried to stuff me in a sack.

“trying to put a sweater on a pit bull “

Is it wrong that I’m laughing uncontrollably?
