I’ve been on 10 Home now for about a month. It’s useable - but 7 was better. I don’t appreciate crapware showing up in my start menu with a price tag attached. It’s like an operating system with advertising built in. And I wish I didn’t have to pay 100 bucks again to be able to encrypt files and folders. The updates don’t bother me.

Actually, that's EXACTLY what it is. Microsoft is using every lever it can find, to sell more stuff, including corrupting its long-revered Windows desktop as a billboard. What aggravates me are the animations in the tiles. Drives me crazy, and those are the first thing I remove on a new system. I'll never get those stolen minutes of my life back, and it pi$$es me off.

I have set up hundreds (if not thousands) of Windows computers in the last 20+ years, and until Windows 8 and 10 came out, it only took me about 2 minutes to get a fresh system into usable shape. Now, the process is much longer, and more aggravating.

I'm sure Microsoft's focus groups are so pleased.
