The LSU football team is in Orlando, Florida ahead of its Citrus Bowl matchup with Louisville at Camping World Stadium.
To prepare for the big game, the Tigers got to enjoy a feast courtesy of the bowl games sponsor, Buffalo Wild Wings. And a feast it certainly was.
According to The Advocates Ross Dellenger, a manager from the local wing spot said LSU players scarfed down a whopping 4,000 wings

Wow. I can barely do a dozen.
I could probably do twenty if I really wanted to, but I’d be on the pot for an hour the next morning.
If these guys are averaging 40+ each, they must be all but literally starving.
I bet there were other people there besides just players on the team roster.
The roster alone is 119 players. Add in the coaching staff, trainers, tag-a-longs, and I’ll bet it was easy to get that number up closer to 200. Still 20 wings apiece, but you know those lineman.....
They are going to deuce their britches...
There is not a lot of meat on a wing but that does sound like they are gluttons.
At one time most wings, necks and backs were exported to Haiti. I suspect that is no longer true since the popularity of Buffalo wings.
Their Thai Curry, Caribbean Jerk and Hot sauces are all fantastic :-)
We saw the Iowa and Florida football players at Busch Gardens in Tampa yesterday (in advance of the Outback Bowl)- I couldn’t believe the amount of food they were consuming. Some of them were eating 4 or 5 burgers and several orders of fries, followed by 4 or 5 huge pieces of cake.
Hold that tiger!
There’s 2000 chickens that won’t be flying south for any future winters.
(yes, I know)
With the players and staff, I believe the last article figured an average of 27 each. I can believe that of football players. I wonder how many Louisville ate on their turn.
One or two would do it for me if they are as loaded with MSG and similar chemicals.
A few hours of migraine misery.
I recently got an air fryer and I wanted to try it out on wings. Yikes, chicken wings are more expensive than boneless chicken breasts.
Chicken tigers.
Why is this news? A guy at a bar could eat 20 wings by himself on a good day.
It seems this should disqualify them by NCAA rules. Food is a form of payment.
Waiting for PETA to start protesting in 3, 2, 1...........
:ast thing I would let them eat. I would load em up on carbs instead.
