Yeah, he’s full of it. He’s a convicted felon with a loaded firearm! But he thought they would just ask him nicely to put it down! Riiiiiight.

I mean, c’mon, he was a convicted felon and gang member who got out of his car with a gun when pulled over.

He has been said to want to show his friend that cops are good guys. Really?

Like you said, this is a ploy.

It would take a really stupid judge and jury to buy that as a defense, but, yes, that is likely what it is. Better he had told it to a lawyer than the police or reporters. The lawyer could tell him he needed better, after the lawyer stopped laughing.
