Rammer Jammer
Late in the season, UW QB Jake Browning had two or three games where he was off-target, throwing a lot of high balls. For the UW to stay in the game, he needs to be on-target.
Alabama has guys on their bench that could field a top-10 team. Their depth will wear Washington out. Washington will be good for a while, I think; but they can’ hang for 4 qtrs. IMO.
If Jake can get the passing game going, the Huskies have a chance. We all know how good Alabama is, but coach Chris Hansen will have the Dawgs ready. I can’t wait.
LSU was and will be the best team Alabama faced or will face. Final score of the LSU game was 10 - 0. Alabama will beat the Huskies like the PAC 12 wimps they are. The PAC 12 is a very very weak conference.
I sympathize with your situation.
Jake Browning is a rare savant.
From the time he was playing at Folsom High School outside Sacramento, he has established the winningest record in State history. Passing yards, touchdowns, come from behind wins...all those state records are his.
Not to mention state championships.
And this from a school in a town of 45,000. He was so good he lifted the entire team. His feats are legendary.
It will be a long day for the Tide defense.
But hellery has more money bigger ground game and is completely unbeatable.
Give em hell, Alabama!
I wish the best for my Huskies....
...but I must acknowledge that it will take a ‘Red Sea-class’ miracle of Almighty God for them to win.
Alabama is really good, but the right team could make it interesting: good OL, accurate pro-style passer, run-pass balance, no turnovers. A running QB or a lateral running game, no way. Maybe one of those good Stanford teams of a few years ago. I don’t know enough about Washington to know how they match up.
MY humble prediction:
Half - Alabama 17 Washington 10
Final - Alabama 41 Washington 17
Now Clemson - Ohio State -- different story. That will be an all-night barn-burner. Final Clemson 34 OSU 31
I was surprised at how poorly coached Bama was on offense. The defense was generally great, but the offensive play calling bordered on the irrational.
‘They can’t shut down our runs up the middle. So lets start throwing passes and running to the outside where they have our number.’
