I'm not much of a follower of the Hollywood celebrity gossip scene, but given Ms. Fisher's accomplishments in that world and the fact that she died at 60 from a massive myocardial infarction, I'm making an educated guess that the primary underlying cause of this was
long-term heavy cigarette smoking, rather than LSD and cocaine. The hard drugs scenario over any long amount of time would probably be incompatable with such a lengthy and productive career, a career requiring a good functional brain.
I see that the MSM is making her a poster girl for women's heart disease without ever mentioning her smoking history, which should be the important medical issue here.

to the L$M it's only bad when non-celebrities smoke

Didn’t she lose a lot of weight before the Star Wars movie? If so, could diet drugs have weakened her heart?

Hey, smoking shortens lives. A dear friend, my dad’s caregiver until he passed, is now going through lung cancer treatment from smoking. You certainly are correct that it could have played a huge part.

[Nifster:] She had been sober for many years.Yup; dumb arguments like she-used-to-use-illegal-drugs-now-she's-dead-so-illegal-drugs-killed-her is par for the Drug Warrior course.
