Why? don’t they still have a chance of being 8 and 8 this year? I guess Bills fans would know better.

What sense does it make to fire the head coach with only 1-3 weeks left in the season?

Unless things are really out of control, let ‘em finish the year and then axe ‘em on Black Monday.

Don’t think so. I think we are done with Sexy-Rexy. Living in New England for years this guy was a loud mouth that could not cash the checks that his mouth wrote.

Good chance Anthony Lynn is named fulltime HC after the season.

I never understand why in sports, we see musical chairs of head coaches, baseball managers etc. I understand disappointment in a losing season or a rebuilding year; disappointment if you don’t go deep in the playoffs.

But, you hire the best football men or baseball men you can find, and you fire them a few years later. You replace them oftentimes with someone who had in turn been dismissed by another team for perceived failures.

So what is the deal? Does just the act of bringing in a new face shake things up in a locker room, and inspire the team to greater achievements supposedly? Remember too there is constsnt turnover among players too. So if a team does better with a new coach was it because of him or because they signed some key free agents who plugged holes in the team???

Just wondering. So many coaches and managers and general managers, end up getting fired but then are hired by other teams.

He is a good DC, but not head.

I doubt he will drop back to being a DC. I expect to see him either on one of the pregame shows or as a color commentator next year. The networks love him.

How are Patriots fans supposed to get up for the regular season without Rex Ryan to kick around any more?

Here’s hoping someone picks him up for next year...

NFL Network or ESPN but not the big 3. He can be outrageous so well suited for TV. And they can get his mug on TV just in time for another Belichek Super Bowl

You fire the coach because you can't fire the (lousy) team.

Defensive coordinators make crappy coaches. Ray Rhodes, Dom Capers, Mike Singletary all sucked as bosses.

Losing twice to the Dolphins this year might have been the reason.

Sunday was a morale killer.

The Bills are ranked #20 out of 32 teams. Not everyone can be #1. As if kicking them out before the last game is going to move them up. That was a stupid move. I’m going to laugh to see them drop next week.
