Ben Afleck Anti American Movie Trailer?
Movie Trailer | Vanity

Just saw the trailer for Afleck's movie, Live By Night. He's obviously a 30's gangster, shootouts with cops, throat cutting, bombs blowing up stores. And the tagline at the end of the trailer is "Paying the Price - of the AMERICAN DREAM"

TOPICS: Society; TV/Movies
KEYWORDS: afleck; antiamerican; hollywood; livebynight; moviereview; usefulidiots
I usually ignore liberal themes if a movie is good. But the American Dream? The price is murder and violence?

Ever notice its always the liberal a$$hole like Assflex that shoot thousands of bullets and every type of gun imagineable in movies then say the American people shouldn’t have access to guns? Neeson is another example. I won’t watch any movies with any anti-gun liberal snowflakes’in them...

Yes and I think his tagline is saying, “I don’t really like guns and violence, I’m using this movie to attack America”

I wish Jennifer Garner would divorce his a$$ and take him to the cleaners. Hell he’s cheated on her umpteen times...

That trailer was painful to get through. Thought it would never end.

Although Affleck’s been a decent director – capturing real local color in Gone Baby Gone and The Town, building tension nicely in Argo – his work here is dim and dull. Live by Night may be about rum, but the pacing is like molasses. And as its glum leading man, the star never shines. He has none of the lethal charm – or dangerous unpredictability – that would make a character like this worth watching. Instead of a mobster clawing his way to the top he’s a district manager, trying to boost third-quarter profits.

Time Out – Tomris Laffly
