Artist Who Had No Problem Being Paid Now Demands Ivanka Trump Remove His Art From Her Home

A group of petulant artists have launched a #DearIvanka hashtag campaign to protest the woman over her father’s politics, and one is even demanding that she remove their art, which she purchased, from the walls of her home.

A group of New York artists have banded together to harass the business woman, while calling themselves the “Halt Action Group.”

“Dear @Ivankatrump please get my work off of your walls. I am embarrassed to be seen with you,” Philadelphia artist Alex Da Corte commented on a photo on Ivanka’s Instagram account, which featured Ivanka, an avid art collector, next to one of his paintings. The artist apparently had no problem accepting the money from this sale previously.

The group’s website reads:

Dear Ivanka,

Racism, anti-Semitism, misogyny, and homophobia are not acceptable anywhere—least of all in the White House.

Steve Bannon has no place in the White House. Jeff Sessions has no place in the White House. Talk of a Muslim registry has no place in the White House.

Hate has no place in the White House.

We refuse to “wait and see”. We look to you as the voice of reason.

Yours,

Halt Action Group

Founded by curator Alison Gingeras, dealer Bill Powers, and artist Jonathan Horowitz, the group has been attacking Ivanka over the perceived sins of her father.

On November 28, the group even organized 500 people to protest outside the building where the soon-to-be First Daughter lives with her husband Jared Kushner and their young children. The demonstrators carried cheesy signs with slogans such as “Dear Ivanka, your daddy is scary as hell.” The demonstration concluded with a candlelight vigil.

The Halt Action Group has also been collecting cards from people beginning with “Dear Ivanka,” and posting them to their instagram account — which has accumulated over 15,000 followers.

“I am a Muslim American Immigrant and I don’t feel safe,” one card reads.

The Instagram contains dozens of posts shaming the mother-of-three over her father’s presidency, but is apparently some how not violating their anti-bullying policy.

We have reached out to Instagram for comment on why the account has not been disabled due to the harassment, but did not receive a reply by time of publication.

While she owns the painting by Alex Da Corte fair and square, perhaps she should consider taking it down anyways — as his work looks like it belongs in a discount room at the Holiday Inn.

Have President Trump sign the artwork and then auction if off for charity.

> Make him buy it back for $10X.

You beat me to it. It accomplishes so much. It tests the whiner’s resolve to put his money where his mouth is; it would be a lucrative investment actualized for the Trump business empire, and it would get that whiner’s brush strokes out of a place of high visibility.

We all know how to make that art multiply in value...

If Trump is not a racist, then why doesn’t he put out a video that flat out decries racism? He should do at least one video against racism each day to prove it.

Get one of those porta-potties and hang the picture on the outside of it. There. Taken care of.

I would just say that I appreciate his talent regardless of his political opinions or his personal life and hopefully someday he will be able to do the same. Then have every picture possible taken by his painting.

The art belongs to her! However because this so called artist has no class whatsoever! In fact, I would encourage her to find new pieces and have this person’s pieces destroyed.

Some people like modern abstracts.

I understand what you are saying. Generally one buys art because it speaks to them. The buyer appreciates what the artist did or the feeling that are emoted when viewing it. But I personally could not look at the art as I had before the artist made a point of publicly insulting me, my father, and all who voted for my father. I could no longer enjoy looking at it. I would not want my children growing up and looking at it, knowing that the artist hated their mother and grandfather.

I suggest these ‘art works’ should be placed on any sidewalk in downtown San Francisco so that the bums have a target when their duty calls. Artsy fartsy at its worstsy.

I understand what you are saying, and my post was mostly what I would do publicly as I think it would hurt him worse. After all, there are a lot of Trump supporters that can afford fine art. These people need to look as small as they are.

There is a solution to this. GO HOME.

Here is my advice......Take a photo of the Donald with
the artwork clearly displayed as backdrop one by one.
Have President Trump autograph as many of the photos as
possible. Sell or auction all of the pix and donate
the proceeds to Eric Trump’s charity, St Jude Children’s
Hospital. Put the paintings back on the wall and secure
the offensive letter from the artists organization for
future reference.

Hang the painting on the wall of a one hole out-house. Take pictures.

“If they don’t buy it back (they won’t) then she should auction it off and donate the proceeds to wounded veterans”

Really piss them off, put it towards “the wall” until we can get the money back from Mexico.

I do not think it is possible to read that without using a whiny nyanya 2 year old’s voice — you know, that awful one we can all go the rest of our lives without hearing.

YES! EXACTLY!! BUMP that reality — what’s good for the baker is good for the butcher, so to speak.
