According to the article, the decedent perp had an assault weapon.
Public records indicate the family spends a great deal of time in Washington County. The Sheriff of Washington County, Richard Stringer, told FOX10 News he has personally responded to a domestic dispute involving Richardson, just this past summer, where Stringer said Richardson was threatening other deputies and family members.
Sheriff Stringer said his office has responded to two domestic calls regarding Richardson this year.
Saraland Police said they have responded to the home on Martha Alleyn Drive several times in the past for domestic disputes going on there.
According to the Mobile County District Attorney, Richardson has been arrested before for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance, however, FOX10 News has not yet been able to find any court documents regarding those past arrests.
