What bothers me is when you go to a sporting event (particularly for me with an NHL game), you are deafened by the loud sound effects and music that people think has to absolutely be around nowadays, and yet something like what was described in the article is frowned upon big time.

Main reason I don’t go to games anymore. The 20-second blares of increasingly unrecognizable music.

The same is true at college football games. I attend home games of the University of Southern California Trojans, and the rap, heavy metal and disco "music" that is piped in drives my crazy. They sometimes play it while marching bands are playing real music on the field.
