This is what we have been up against. From Alinsksy,
"Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have. Power is derived from 2 main sources money and people. Have-Nots must build power from flesh and blood. Never go outside the expertise of your people. It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone. Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy. Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. Ridicule is mans most potent weapon. There is no defense. Its irrational. Its infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. A good tactic is one your people enjoy. Theyll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. Theyre doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones. A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Dont become old news. Keep the pressure on. Never let up. Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself. Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist. "The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition." It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign. If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive. Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog. The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Never let the enemy score points because youre caught without a solution to the problem. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions."
I suggest we take the war to them. We now own congress, the senate, the whitehouse and soon the Supreme Court. We own the majority of governorships as well as local senate and assembly seats. How do we do this.
Reagan's strategy was to bankrupt the Soviets, force them into a spending war they could not sustain. It worked, because that's how you beat the left. When you force them to spend their own money all of a sudden they no longer want to play. I suggest we do the same.
Star with Media Matters, the Center for American Progress and every left wing media group. File lawsuits using friendly judges. If you remember what they did to Sarah Palin in Alaska, same premise. Go after SEIU, and union leaders. Bankrupt them holding them to the same standards they held us to. File class actions against the NY Slimes and other papers for killing trees and destroying the environment. Say science on global warming is settled and end funding for all scientists who signed onto the hoax.
I posted Alinsky's Rules for Radicals as a reminder to us what the left's playbook is and that we need to use their rule book and hold them accountable.
The left declared war on us and it is time we fight fire with fire. We have the opportunity to finally rid ourselves of this scourge and Alinsky and Reagan taught us how to do it.
Ar we up for this?
I don’t think Trump/we can wait until inaug to start returning the attacks and firing our own missiles.
It’s like we’re just all pretending they’re just being childish and not actively trying to destory us.
They won’t back down until they’ve taken so much destruction from us that they have no more will to fight.
I sure don’t enjoy going through the holidays under this passive-aggressive strafing.
Sorry for poor spelling. I hate writing on an iPad.
This is the basic premise of what i am calling the uniparty purge, that has roots in the tea party and the first start at purging both parties, with Trump.
Hey, Larry, your guys, do they realize we’re starting to be more than agitated about this and need some direction/marching orders from POTUS-E to put a stop this endless attempted demoralization the RATS are committed to?
Okay, stop this crap.
We are about to take office with a minority of the popular vote.
Nothing has changed demographically. MAYBE Hispanic voters . . . yes, outright legal voters, can be deported. Maybe not.
But in 2008 and an Obama election, by NOT a minority of the popular vote, there was talk of “the new, permanent Democratic majority.”
That Talk Was One Hell Of A Lot More Justified Than For The GOP Now.
They lost it via over-reach, and we can reach a lot less more extensively than they did and wind up in that same overreach category.
Just throttle down ambition. We’re damn lucky to have won by those 100,000 votes in 3 states.
badly phrased . . . we need reach much less than they did to have it be over-reach.
So what do you have to lose then?
You think playing the safe game is going to work?
No, not everything under the sun should be expected, but we’re going to have the offensive game for these 4 years. None of this lazy conservative crap we pull after elections where we go to sleep and just demand that magic happens.
Look, guy, 2009. Post financial Apocalypse. OVERWHELMING DEMOCRAT MAJORITY.
What were they able to get from that? If you go back and read the mechanisms proposed for Obamacare, you’ll see that the Democrats, even with that majority, could often not get things the left wing of the party wanted. EVEN WITH THAT MAJORITY, Obamacare evolved to have the involvement of private insurers. Not a single payer government healthcare plan like Canada or the UK. No, all these private companies remained involved — and Pelosi DID NOT WANT THAT.
Reid DID NOT WANT THAT. They wanted a UK or Canada style National Health Service. Even with an absolutely huge majority in both houses, all they could get was Obamacare, and had to use Reconciliation for even that.
With Obama’s HUGE landslide popular vote AND electoral vote margins, all they could pass was Obamacare.
The GOP will get VERY little through. Repeal of Obamacare is a done deal. Then they have to replace it and THAT won’t be a done deal at all.
Deportations? Whatever Trump can do with NO INCREASE IN INS BUDGET will happen, and it won’t be much.
Even the USSC has to get past the GOP moderate senators.
Frankly, that restraint may win in 2020. Over-reach is suicide. They gave away that huge majority via over-reach.
We’re dealing with the biggest collection of sociopaths in human history, known as the democrats, and the only thing that forces a sociopath to heel is having his teeth kicked out with nobody to come save them from having them kicked out again.
I was enabled until I read your crap
Watching a Trump rally on TV is better than meth !
We're already steamrolling over the weaker (because they NEVER had anything going for them except BS) liberals and we're getting stronger every day.
Eat your Wheaties and be strong !
That is a meaningless statement. We are taking office with a large majority of the electoral votes which is the benchmark for how we are to govern. It IS a mandate. If the popular vote was important to how we govern then we would only govern to please California and New York.
You’re exactly right about employing Reagan’s strategy.
I don’t know if it is intentional or not but Trump’s focus on getting waste, fraud, and abuse is one way to do it. When the Tech leaders met with Trump last week one of the topics was to get the Tech people to try to develop technology to perform data analytics to help root out waste in government.
My thought is if you get “waste” out of the system you’re removing a lot of “lost” money and ridiculous grants from the system - which ends up in the hands of Solyndra, etc.
I believe government ‘waste’ is significantly funding the left - remove that and they’re bankrupt - and they’ll be in the wilderness for decades.
The left will never go away but we can kick them while they’re down. I’d get rid of Motor Voter for starters. Next eliminate welfare by confining ebt cards to rice and beans-a complete protein. Throw in all the Thunderbird they want. A year from now anyone who insists on a handout can receive it in the 3rd world country of their choice.
The best solution is far less stressful, and the results virtually immediate:
1) Enact a strict, national Voter ID law.
2) Begin a vigorous, thorough, and continuous scrubbing of the voter registration rolls.
3) Deport all criminal illegal aliens.
4) Enforce strict employment laws requiring all workers to be legal.
5) Enact/enforce strict laws making it illegal for felons to vote.
6) Streamline/simplify voting procedures for overseas military personnel
Do those in conjunction with effective execution of Trump’s plans for tax cuts, regulatory cuts, building the wall, dismantling Obamacare, rebuilding the military, etc., and the Left won’t win a national election for generations.
Amen. It’s time to completely eliminate this cancer. I truly believe Trump is the only chance we have for a very long time to do it. I believe we will for at least another 100 years before we get another pantsy to undo everything. History repeats because of stupidity
Yep: I hope he said OK, guys, I can lop 40% off each department’s budget AND payroll, or if you guys have any targetted trimming ideas which would work better for y’all, I’m all ears.
I hope he made crystal clear that he expected to see 5000% more American STEM workers in upper-middle-class income brackets within two years.
They lost it via over-reach, and we can reach a lot less more extensively than they did and wind up in that same overreach category.
Control over the information flow has always been the “progressives’ center of power.
Being too “moderate” and not delivering on promises is the way to be kicked out for underperforming and not being trustworthy.
We need to push hard, not move toward the left.
