DENVER (CBS4) The Denver Police Department is defending officers who were caught on video taking blankets and tents from homeless people when temperatures dropped to below freezing overnight.
The American Civil Liberties Union posted video on Facebook that shows Denver police officers confiscating blankets from people who were camped out in 20 degree weather.

Media blows it all out of proportion and the ACLU steps into it without really knowing what happened.
Just WAIT 35 days:
They will be blaring these stories 24/7.
They will be constant.
“The video clip that you just ran was actually three individuals who were protesting and setting up camp in front of city hall. And after the police asked them to move, they did not, they were cited and their equipment was taken as evidence.”
Seems reasonable to me. Poor timing on part of the protesters.
Take away a dog’s doghouse in that weather and you’d get charged with animal cruelty.
Lesson: The Government is NOT your friend.
Protesters don’t need blankets.
Not sarcasm.
This story is just media spinning the crap wheel again.
Media created outrage “news”
Dingbat leftwing protesters are even less my friend.

Fake news from see-BS, Denver
Hell, I remember a story from Aurora,Co about a guy being charged for leaving a ‘ possum in a live trap.
Were they using SF rules where the homeless are required to have ID and proof of residence to be considered homeless. Maybe the reporter just rushed to judgment.
Colorado Ping ( Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)
Well then, all one of them had to do is start barking.
“Maybe the reporter just rushed to judgment.”

Maybe you did-—they weren’t homeless,they were protestors.
.
I live in Denver and my travels take me past those blanket tent people near the Salvation Army District just about every day. They were chased away from one set of sidewalks and their blankets were taken away. They just moved across the street and had more blankets and tents on another sidewalk. Then their tents were taken away again. There is a place called step 13 right around the corner: sobriety and work, work and sobriety. They will not go to Step 13. And the Denver Government will not invite the Step 13 leaders to any of the homelessness meetings. By taking away the blankets, the Police are forcing the bums to leave town or go inside to a shelter. Denver has the best free stuff for bums in the entire country. Bums from all over the USA are flocking to Denver for the goods and services. It is an absolutely huge governmental quagmire with massive sums of money for the governmental supervisors who run the programs. And the governmental programs are not concerned with sobriety or work. Just with lots of money for the administrators.
Part was real, part fake.
The police are checking up on the homeless and trying to get them into shelters. Now I guess there are some city zoning laws against public camping. That is where the Occupy Movement came in and protested the police trying to get the homeless to “move along”.
I know one of them. He burned his bridges at Step 13 after 2 years of sobriety and with his family. Very sad. Can’t do anything for him.
