That is a good thing
These are an excellent CQB aid. An inexpensive green laser such as the one from Ozark holds up to recoil nicely on an AK74 or a .22lr. I have them on an AR piston gun, an AK74, and an S&W 15-22. BUT, shooting further than thirty or forty yards with them is strictly for body center mass because the beam is too wide for precision shooting beyond twenty yards. But then 20 and in is where defensive shooting happens, usually.
