Where is our first lady? Ivanka may be lovely but she is a liberal - through and through.
This is not a good sign.
I don’t think anybody really cares if she is hostess for a few months while Barron wraps up school. But we shouldn’t want her setting policy and influencing her father on personal decisions. Nothing good will come of that, guaranteed.
What a wonderful image to have a young family working and living at 1600 Penn ave!
Itll be like having two First Ladies in the White House and both very elegant goddesses.
...
Yes. After one of the worst FL’s ever.
Melania gets to be more of a mother and wife which is what I think she wants. I think Ivanka is more suited to the modern role of First Lady, anyway.
OMG folks. Lighten up.
His daughter isn’t going to be dictating policy. She’ll be working at her father’s directive.
She’s getting an office.
It isn’t oval.
How about Julie Nixon? Tricia Nixon was more of a ceremonial escort for daddy, while Julie was more active in policy.

For me there is one overriding metric for the Trump presidency, namely:
Is third-world migration into my homeland drastically reduced?
If Yes, successful presidency.
If No, failed presidency.
Michelle’s momma didn’t sit in on meetings and have an office in the East Wing of the WH as hostess, WH staff boss and advisor to the president.
Ivanka and Jared aren’t setting policy. People need bang boards. It’s a big help in making decisions.
Good thing Dennis’ last name isn’t ‘Stiff’. Whew!

WASHINGTON The far-flung Obama clan is coming closer together. President Obamas half-sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, is moving her family here from Hawaii and will spend the next several months living in the nations capital, White House officials say.
The extended stay means that the siblings will live in the same city, at least for a while, for the first time in years.
Ms. Soetoro-Ng, who has given up her job as a high school teacher in Hawaii, has a book contract and a new baby. Her husband, Konrad Ng, a professor at the University of Hawaii, will become the scholar-in-residence at the Smithsonian Institutions Asian Pacific American Program here next month.
“Its looking more and more like Donald and Melania are going to lead two different lives.”
I think it is just during the first several months.
There are extensive renovations scheduled for the White House, first half of next year (Obama deliberately deferred them until after he was gone.
They have said that Trump’s son Baron will transfer to a school in D.C. after this school year - Mom Melania will stay with Baron in NYC until school is out.
I hope Trump wants her to.
He should definitely keep her out then.
In fact, he should probably shun her, never talk to her again, and write her out of the will.

Later he became Director.

Did you see PEOTUS tell Paul Ryan last night in his own home state that he was STILL going to build the wall...lolz
The article says she is staying in NYC so the child can finish school.
What they didn’t say is - it is just to finish this school year (May?), at least that is what I’ve read several places. And they don’t move in until February, so that’s a four-month delay. Not a huge deal.
And even if she does stay in NYC (would not be my preference), I’m guessing they can figure it out. Whatever works best for them, and allows Trump to focus on being President.
Obama’s brother-in-law to head Smithsonian program
“You start out with Ivanka, and wind up with Melania “
It doesn’t say that. The article says that Ivanka The Lib will HAVE the FLOTUS’ digs. Period.
Melania’s top priority right now, which The Donald supports fully, is being mother to Barron. She will stay with him in NYC until the end of his school year. They don’t want to disrupt his life.
Dad will be working VERY long days and he will need a full time, dedicated parent during this transition in his life. It won’t be unlike military families when one parent is deployed. Except that I imagine there will be a good deal of commuting between DC and NYC between January and June.
Remember, he will be the first child moving into the White House who will be suffering a downgrading to his personal lifestyle.
they finally found a way to actually get fired from one of these rags with that
