If, on the other hand, you have had the same 4 bottles of beer in your frig for over a month, you are definitely NOT an alcoholic.
Or if you buy relatively classy sipping whiskey and they sit on the shelves and collect dust.
No, but if it starts to, I just pop a few more down to fight off the shakes. I'm usually over the puking stage by noon and I'm good to go.

Oops. I did search.
A constant clear mind has many advantages.
I'm not an alcoholic, I'm a drunk ... alcoholics have to go to meetings.
The SUREST way to determine if a person is an alcoholic is to simply ask them. If they deny it, then they are one, since DENIAL is the first sign of alcoholism.
ONLY 1 in 5? They've made a lot of progress since I was stationed there.
I remember at least half the Australians I worked with got roaring drunk several times a week!

You’re an alcoholic.

To prevent a hangover all you need is water. Alcohol dehydrates you. For me two or three large glasses of water or better one or two and a Gatorade will prevent a hangover independent of the amount I’ve drunk. I can’t drink beer and don’t prefer vodka, so it’s whiskey, wine, and sake.

That being said.... I don’t go out to drink unless it is business travel. I go home. I might have a drink at a celebration dinner, else it’ll be a slow few drinks while the family and I watch a movie or something.
I’ve known several guys ranging between 40 and 60 that can each plow a whole 24 can suitcase of beer and some shots the night before, and still get up the next day and run circles around the young guys like it ain’t nobody’s business.
