That country was once 80% Christian.
Islamic women have allowed this treatment by men for eons. They could have put a stop to it centuries ago. They could put a stop to it today. All it takes is a bit of self respect and the will to go through with whatever it takes.

Forcing a rapist to financially support the victim for the rest of his life sounds pretty good. Especially if he does it from the bottom of a deep dark pit.
I suspect that’s not what’s going on though.
Like I’ve said before, I don’t see how you can be Muslim and actually love women.
The answer is clear, we need to bring more of these people to the USA so we can understand this better!
I’m okay with marrying them to their rapists, as long as the wedding gifts include a long sharp knife and the rapist does not survive to the next morning.
