He said nothing that suggests a change from the campaign talk. They have made A Boogeyman Trump and when they see that he’s polite to Liberals they think, hey, he will go for whatever I want. He makes them feel like they’re winning. Sounds like a part of the art of the deal to me

Agree with you wholeheartedly. And SMH over some of these threads. The posters can’t wait until Trump actually backtracks—so far he hasn’t—because he may not. He may in fact maintain his campaign position. So bitter Cruz supporters have to attack Trump for bactracking before he actually does so...just in case he never does, and their big chance to malign Trump fails to materialize.

I understand your position, but they did consciously choose to eat up tax payer dollars. They were brought here by adults and grew up here. This is all some of them know. If someone was brought here at age three, they really don’t have a country to go back to. Now people who decided on their own to come here illegally and break our immigration laws, that’s a different story.
If I recall Trump’s immigration speech and what he has said, his focus right now will be on removing the criminal element from the U.S. and securing the border.
Maybe you could go back to the beginning of time and make a list of every statement every politician made while defeating all challengers, and what happened after they won.

Well Trump MUST have said, somewhere, on the record, that he’s reconsidered, and Dreamers can stay after all. If he hasn’t, you wouldn’t be saying he bactracked, as if it’s a known/proven fact. All I’m asking for is the exact quote, with a link, in which Trump announced his intention to violate a campaign promise.

When the doors opened the group came out and repeatedly gave the impression DJT had seen the light and he would not build any great wall. WTP then found truth to the matter...that this was false. He had promised no such thing - the wall is still an important tool.
Believe nothing unless you hear it directly from his lips. Unlike those with purple lips, he is not one prone to lies nor break promises. Also, please remember at this time we, unfortunately, have a psycho residing in our oval office. A Socialist who continues to put our nation in jeopardy. Agree that’s what the bitter losers are referring to. But until Trump clarifies what he actually mean/intends to do, we have no way of knowing. To say he’s backtracked before he’s actually done so is helpful only to anti-Trumpers.

I do understand your beliefs. I don’t think you are a racist. I just disagree on that aspect of people who were brought here as kids. If they are involved in gangs, then Trump will deport them.
His focus is going to be on deporting all the criminals first according to him and securing the border, and that will be a task. After that plays out, we’ll see what comes next.
