I play racquetball with a urologist. As part of his internship, he led a team to encourage circumcision in Africa to prevent AIDS. Huge success.
If circumcision and kosher food are outlawed, as is becoming the case in most of western Europe, then Judaism, per se, can no longer be practiced there; Jews will have to travel to other countries to have their children circumcised, and pay to import kosher food.
And I think that is a hidden (perhaps even from its exponents) goal.
