What’s the old adage about arguing with fools?

Off the top of my head...I can't recall but I've heard it.

Though, my favorite that does apply would be...

"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt."

I don’t know the answer to that but one of the signs I had above my desk at work was I REFUSE TO HAVE A BATTLE OF WITS WITH AN UNARMED PERSON.
