Could someone check with Andrea Mitchell to see why she used the term huMANity and not the word huWOMANity?
Good question. HuMANity has man in it. I see what you mean.
I’ve heard some people avoid saying “mankind” because that’s supposed to be offensive to women. But these same people will use the word “humanity” instead. Which seems to defeat the purpose of avoiding “mankind” if they are offended at the mention of “man” in any portion of a word.
