I would think places like Shreveport, Lafayette, etc would make more sense than NO, whose voters are reliably blue. It seems he could have a bigger impact in other cities.
Oddly, Orleans Parish is now smaller in population than East Baton Rouge Parish. Both are strongholds of the popular Mrs. Bill.
did I miss something? Didn’t we vote already? Or is this in preparation for four years from now? I don’t know that’s why I’m asking.
Runoff election I believe.
That is where you are wrong
losing by 50 points or 20 points is the difference of winning or losing in these “blue” areas
That is how Hillary lost, why follow that flawed design?
Shreveport voted heavily for Obama and Mr. and Mrs. Bill too.
The New Orleans suburban area of Jefferson and St. Tammany parishes are heavily populated.
Yes this is for the close Senator race in LA.
Right now there do not seem to be that many in attendance. I hope this improves.
BREAKING???
Trying to add another GOP senator in the election slated for next Saturday.
BTW, it’s interesting that the GOP candidate’s name is John Kennedy!
Also hope these people vote for Captain Higgins!
Lol - right? Thought I was in some strange time warp
So, if multiple candidates split the vote, they have a runoff election. That's what is happening next week.
GOP will retain the Senate seat.
LA went big for Trump on November 8.
He was almost as big a disappointment as the usual suspects - but it sure was funny watching the black democrats in New Orleans get all indignant about losing "their" House seat.
This is a runoff election for the retiring Senate seat of Vitter. Louisiana Treasurer
John Kennedy (R) holds a 14-point lead over Public Service Commissioner Foster Campbell (D)
in the final Senate race of 2016, a poll released Thursday finds.
Maybe they’ll be too depressed or confused to vote for Campbell...
“GOP will retain the Senate seat.”
But the race will still be a test of GOP resolve. If the Dems were to take this it would show them already bouncing back. Paul Coverdell won in Georgia within a month of the state going for Clinton in 1992. It was a foretaste of what was to come in 1994.
