Washington's opportunistic defense and dominant running game most likely ended any debate about whether the Huskies' weak nonconference schedule would keep them out of the College Football Playoff. Taylor Rapp returned one of his two interceptions for a touchdown and Myles Gaskin ran for 159 yards to help No. 4 Washington strengthen its case for a playoff berth with a 41-10 victory over No. 9 Colorado in the Pac-12 championship game Friday night.

The Dawgs punched their ticket. An interesting scenario is if Clemson does not have a convincing win over The Hokies will Washington move up to #3 and avoid playing 'Bama on New Years Eve.

Not sure about moving up with a Clemson loss, but who knows? The win knocked Michigan out for sure. I’d like to see this expanded to six teams.

So, if Clemson wins and Wisconsin wins big, does Wisconsin bump Ohio State out of the top 4? Hard to put a team in the playoff when someone else wins the conference.

THE Ohio State University is a lock. Washington is in. If Clemson wins then they are in. The question is if Clemson loses will the committee select the Big 10 = 14 title game winner or Michigan.

It’s a fact that Bama will be matched with the easiest team of the three for them to beat in the first round of the playoffs.

Congrats to U-Dub! No way they can be kept out of the playoff now.

Why avoid our Southern powerhouse? Don’t want to go home early?

Who will that be?

Alabama plays Florida today but they're in even if they lose today.

What is Alabama’s best win according to latest CFB rankings? Hint: a 3 loss team that beat UW.

Should have 1 play-in game a week after the season ends to be played at a neutral field near the higher seed’s (CFP #4 v #5) school. The winner of that game becomes the #4 seed in the CFP.

Yeah, it was so easy for them 2 years ago when they faced Ohio State and a 3rd string QB...

That should satisfy the Power 5 conferences instead of going to a full blown 6 team playoff...

We’ll know that tonight. ESPN can’t have Bama losing in the first round.

In other news, the University of South Alabama Jaguars beat the New Mexico State University Aggies today 35-28. This gives the Jaguars their sixth win, making them bowl eligible (they rank 9th out of 11 teams in their conference).

I think Trump was rooting for the Jaguars. I saw a photo of him the other day wearing a cap with the initials USA on it.
