He just didn’t pay attention to the bigger message... the song right before that on the album was “Patience”.

Out of ammunition, he returned to his neighbor's home, stole a shotgun and fired one round into the ground of the neighbor's backyard in an unsuccessful attempted to shoot himself.

This guy epitomizes the phrase: "Doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground." Aimed at head, hit ground instead...
