Rush fans? Don't judge me. I pay 25 bucks a month for Free Republic. :)
You have to offer your women... yes plural. To Laz. Then forgiven. He isnt choosy.
Is this the one where Hitler says something like “He’s too worn out!!??? But he goes bubbity-f*** all over on his motorscooter - can’t fly like the rest of the guys!!??”
I’m just grateful that he got back together with the boys after his wife and daughter died - I treat the last several albums as unexpected bonus tracks.
Anyone can drum. It took about 5 minutes for the Beatles to replace Pete Best.

Here’s a long (too long??) drum solo by Peart. What I find amazing is how big (and techy) his drum kit is compared to what he (and all the others) used to use.
Anyone can drum. It took about 5 minutes for the Beatles to replace Pete Best.>>. are you a musician?
Oh man - out of all the youtube videos I was trying to find - we both picked the same one. Too funny. (I was tempted to find something older with the big chimes).
Whoever you are, I love you as a kindred spirit. This video fills my heart and saddens my soul because all great things must end. I am ever grateful Neil chose drums over accounting.
Oh holy shit, I know. Have you read his books? Masked Rider and Ghost Rider, any in between, before or after. I can’t even...
Something in my head said I was going to piss off some Rush fans just as I was clicking the “Post” button...
No - I haven’t. I do like his travel logs that he posts on the net, interesting stories. Of course whenever he talks about politics or religion I have to treat it with a grain of salt.
Well I was a musician. Took up drums first, then double bass, then cello. I have always loved music of all kinds. I would be playing pro, but a brain tumor killed my skills and dreams. Am grateful to still enjoy others playing.

Nice performance in your link, actually. By the way I consider Rush to be in the top 3 of my list of favorite bands, which includes the Beatles and ELO. I say that to anyone who asks me. That list doesn’t include classical composers.
But not anyone can drum like Peart. He ranks with Bruford and Collins as one of the greatest and most influential drummers in history.
I enjoy classical music too - I wonder if that and Rush (and for me - Emerson Lake & Palmer) is due to the complexity of it? I try to keep an open mind with music - and even enjoyed one rap song (Christian rap) that my kids used to play. My one daughter still listens to Christian “screamo” - I can’t stand it.
But technically, rap isn’t music... I don’t care who I piss off with that statement. It’s true.
Yeah - “screamo” isn’t either!
By the way I just noticed your name is 2112. Ironically, I just listened to that last night for probably the first time in 5 years. Coincidences abound.
