People are destroyed by it.* I jut wanted to make the point - CCC 2351 lust is a disordered desire for inordinate enjoyment of sexual pleasure. Sexual pleasure is disordered when sought for itself, isolated from its procreative and unitive purposes. With the above definition as a guide, Is adultery a more serious sin than the others? You may say that for two people to swear to almighty God, on His Holy Altar fidelity are breaking a solemn vow, thus committing adultery in the Eyes of the Lord. Understood. But is that really any worse than other sins of the flesh? It is important to remember, and never forget, "Sexual pleasure is disordered when sought for itself, isolated from its procreative and unitive purposes."

I’m just looking at the biblical sanctions.
Death penalty is for some crimes, not for others.
They are all sins. But some sins are worse than others.
