It’s one thing to switch out a few hundred votes, but here it would be 100,000+. No one would believe the recount.
There are many votes that were not counted because the winning margin was more than the votes remaining to be counted.
So they need to ‘reduce’ the winning margin by claiming data entry errors, hacking, etc.
