I can confirm that. Saw the parade live once in NYC. Once was enough.
I saw the Rose Parade live. 4AM departure to sit on cold metal bleachers just far enough past the grand marshal to get to spend a lot of time looking at nothing. Part of the problem is we seem to only have parades when the weather sucks.
