A “teen” eh?
If it had blown up, the note would have been destroyed, wouldn't it?
Ohio. Must be Amish. Right?
the explosive didnt detonate
Good question. Was the note in cursive? Was it all spelled correctly?
As punishment, the "teen" should have one used on himself as a suppository. It may clear out his thinking.
My intro consisted of lighting a fire cracker in the classroom...IIRC, I received an A for that presentation. My ears rang for about an hour, though.
For Eighth grade science class I built a Plaster over screen wire volcano. Inside was a five pound coffee can with a saltpeter/sulfur/sugar mix.
I set it off in the grass between the science wing and the cafeteria. It was close to the office so the principal, VP, and secretaries came out to watch.
It put out a Lot of smoke( some sulfur dioxide smoke). The wind blew it first to gas all the office workers. Then gassed us some. And then the wind blew it into all of the open cafeteria windows and gassed a whole lunch period.
I got an A.
By high school, I had moved up to contact explosives and really had the school hopping.
I got out a half dozen years ago. Out of control students were getting worse each year. The last year was drudgery. To think at one time it was a complete joy. Never again.
Cause for suspension.
On the school supply list.
My senior year, I was a lab assistant for a Chemistry class. I had plenty of opportunity for mischief, such as discovering what happens when you add Hydrochloric acid to pure Calcium.
A plume of white vapor was created by it. The teacher thought it was pretty funny.
My son was in high school in the late eighties, early nineties. Today he is a graphic designer, and in high school he liked to make small drawings in the margins of his papers. The drawings were many times of guns. Some teachers admired his ability, some told him to stop drawing in the margins, but none called the police.
There was never a fight or injury involving those knives.
In first grade for me!
Guys in school used to always have a knife in their pocket or boot. And a worn circle on their back pocket from the Skoal tobacco can.
The school parking lot was full of pickups with guns in the gun racks and shells rolling around in the floorboard. Door were never locked and windows were rolled down. No one thought a thing about it.
There was never a problem. No one gave it a second thought.
Right - but if it had, the note would have been burned, one assumes, and therefore a waste.
How about the worn circle on their wallet from the rubber they were hoping they might get to use someday when they finally get lucky?
