Leading up to this past Saturday West Virginia screamed about how they were disrespected being ranked at 14 with only 1 loss. They promptly get blasted at home by the Sooners. HA HA! The Saturday is the biggest Michigan-Ohio State game since 2006; a de facto quarterfinal game. The Apple Cup up in Washington is probably the biggest one evah as it will determine the Pac 12 North winner.

Silliest assertion of the season - herbstreet, on tv, said that USC was either the best or second best team in the country...even though they have 3 losses.

Here is a nightmare scenario...
If Michigan and OSU have an incredible back and forth game going into OT with an eventual win AND Penn State beats MSU later in the day.
Michigan may stay inside the top 4.
This would mean the Big Ten would have two teams in the playoffs and neither of those teams would be in the Big Ten Championship game.
That would be nuts.

What’s up with “THE Ohio State University”? I hear it referred to that way on T.V. Why not simply Ohio State University?

If Ohio State and Penn State win, then Penn State wins the North. And sets up a potentially ugly scenario where the Conference champion is denied a spot in the playoffs, while a team that didn’t even win their Division will go.

25% of the TOP TEN are Big Ten schools. Being a Mitten-head, I like the odds...but,
Only Meeechigan and THEE Ohio State have a real chance at the national title. It all depends on what the national press decides [SPIT] to give them.

Is that the Gamecocks USC, or the Trojans USC?
And as an aside, aren't both those names pertaining to the same appendage?

Silliest assertion of the season - herbstreet, on tv, said that USC was either the best or second best team in the country...even though they have 3 losses. Those three losses came at the start of the season. Since then, the Trojans have mowed down every team they faced, including #4 Washington.
A great philosopher named Woody Hayes once observed that as the season progresses, a team either gets better or it gets worse. USC has definitely gotten better since the season began.
Go, Trojans! Beat the Domers!

The Apple Cup up in Washington is probably the biggest one evah as it will determine the Pac 12 North winner.Close. Friday's winner has the opportunity to play for the conference championship. In 1981, the winner of the game would be the conference champ.
