The connected Genie is out of the bottle. It's well past time when the once-powers-that-were had the ability to put the stopper back in that bottle. The public won't put up with it, and we now have a champion in The Bully Pulpit who will make sure that this is never allowed.

I don't doubt that the battle will be engaged, but it will be brief, and we already know who wins. IMHO.
