President GWB’s staff cried too. I think it’s just an emotional time for them. Their jobs are coming to an end, but, they should have known that. However, many of them probably believed the hag was going to win an they would be able to keep their jobs.
Every one of them is out of a job no later than noon on January 20, 2017. Every single one.
AND, if it’s like Carter’s end, they will be hard pressed to find employment. The Republicans will own DC. So they will hope to land at liberal foundations or think tanks (if they’re on the smart side). Some have been working to get federal government jobs, not under the political appointment grouping.
Many won’t have a choice. If trump keeps them around they will be more trouble than they are worth.
